An Introduction

I am a CPA and bookkeeping pro. I work efficiently and have a deep understanding of “where things go” and what financial statements represent about a business. I am an Advanced Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor. I am also connected in the Boulder County tax community and can collaborate with your tax advisor at tax time and through the year.

I started my career with Arthur Andersen in San Francisco, preparing federal and state tax returns for a variety of businesses and industries. As a member of the State and Local Tax Group, I also learned a lot about income and sales tax issues for states and municipalities. It was trial by fire but I learned so much!

For a time in Colorado, I was a tax manager for a local CPA firm, assisting small business owners with tax return preparation and bookkeeping. And while I no longer prepare tax returns, knowing so much about the tax code helps us to provide your tax advisor with a clean set of reports and to implement their advice.

Accounting can seem overwhelming to some, and I love to be able to lift that burden from a client’s shoulders. I take advantage of technology where ever I can, making computers do “the dirty work” for us. And I am always learning more of the knowledge base and tools available for CPAs to serve our clients better.

I’m a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs and the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.

Off the clock, I love a good book, hanging out with family and friends and making things (I do love yarn!). I have volunteered as treasurer for the Centaurus marching band (band mom forever!), and the local COCPA chapter and I’m active in my church community.
